Friend, did you know you can pin a comment at the top of your YouTube videos?

This is a game-changer for business owners in all industries to highlight the comments of your subscribers!

In fact, it’s even a great way to express gratitude for your engaged subscribers because they get a notification when their comment is pinned in the comments of your video.

However, if you have a newer channel and don’t have a comment that you’d like to pin, you can still use the pinned comment yourself to engage with your viewers.

Here are 3 ideas to use the pinned comments feature on YouTube to get people talking back to you.

Note: All of these pinned comment ideas could be a more detailed version of your in-video Call-To-Action or replace your recorded CTA altogether!

1. Encourage Engagement
Ask your viewers a fun follow-up question as the pinned comment on a recent video.

For example, if your YouTube video is about kitchen redesign, your pinned comment could be, "What's the most important design element in your kitchen: the backsplash, island, or flooring?"

2. Sharing a Testimonial
Another way to use the pinned comment is to think of it as a supporting idea to your video.

For example, if your video is about one of your products or services, pin a comment below that includes a real testimonial of that product or service.

This will keep your video a little shorter but add a level of third-party validation for your business.

3. Ask for Questions
In a video that contains an educational tutorial or behind-the-scenes look at your business, use the pinned comment feature to encourage your audience to ask questions.

You could try saying something like: "Thanks for watching! What questions do you have for me about this topic?"

If you already asked for questions in your YouTube video, try wording your pinned comment differently than your CTA but encourage the same feedback!

Now you might be wondering HOW to pin yours or your viewers’ comments.

To pin a comment on YouTube, go to the comments section and follow these steps:

  1. Hover your mouse over the comment you’d like to pin.

  2. Click on the three dots that appear next to the comment.

  3. Click on the pin icon as shown below.

Now, you have a pinned comment at the top of your video’s comments for all of your future viewers to see, respond to, and like!

We can’t wait to see how you use this feature to get more engagement, more subscribers, and more customers.
