If you’re currently marketing LinkedIn for your business, you should be using the Featured section to showcase your BEST work.

What’s that, you ask?

The Featured section is an area on the top of your LinkedIn profile where you can showcase work samples that you’re most proud of.

You can feature posts that you’ve authored or re-shared, articles you’ve published, and even external media like images, documents, and links (such as to your website, podcast, or newsletter sign-up form!).

Though you can share unlimited content on your Featured section, we recommend choosing 3-5 pieces that introduce who you are, explain what you do, and showcase your brand for a new Follower.

How to Feature Content

To feature content that exists on your feed, click the ⋯ More icon from the top right of any post to add it to your Featured section.

To feature an external link or piece of media, click the + Add icon from the top right of the Featured section and the + Add icon again next to the type of media you’d like to feature. Then, give your external link or media file a title and description before clicking Save.

How to Manage Your Featured Content

By default, the most recent piece of content you’ve Featured will appear at the beginning of the section. But follow the steps below if you’d like to reorder or remove pieces of your Featured content!

1. Click the 👤 Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

2. Select View profile.

3. Scroll down and click the ✏️ Edit icon next to the Featured section.

4. To manage a work sample that you’ve showcased, either select:

  • ★ Remove from Featured, or

  • Reorder icon. (Note: You must have at least two work samples featured to be able to reorder their position.)

5. Once you’ve reordered or removed pieces of your Featured content, click Save.

There you have it, friend! We hope you jump feet first into using the LinkedIn Featured section to showcase what makes you and your business unique.
