We know you're probably wondering what next steps to take if your ideal client is hanging out on Facebook.

We got you! Follow the steps below to ensure you can connect with your Ideal Client with the Facebook platform.

Step 1: Find 3 Large Accounts Your Ideal Client Follows

On Facebook, rather than finding accounts that your ideal client follows as you would on Instagram, instead focus on finding groups that your ideal client belongs to.

For example, if your ideal client is a 35-year-old mom in the Midwest who’s looking for financial advice, type “Minnesota Moms” or “Midwest Money Saving Moms” in the Facebook search bar and see what groups come up.

Then, simply join the groups where your ideal client is likely hanging out and then head to Step 2.

Step 2: Find Your Ideal Client

Once inside the Facebook group your ideal client likely belongs to, now it’s time to find them by checking out the posts, comments, and likes.

In order to determine if someone would be a good fit for your product or service, click on their Facebook profile and compare their demographics to your Ideal Client (such as their age, relationship status, what other groups they belong to, and Pages they like).

If they are, then move on to step 3 because it’s time to start building authentic relationships that, in turn, will lead to a steady stream of clients and sales!

Step 3: Give the Type of Engagement You Want to Receive

It’s important to focus on serving your ideal client because no one is in a Facebook group because they want to be sold to.

In the comments section of relevant posts, offer helpful tips or advice related to what you do, and create long-lasting friendships that may turn into a customer one day.

We recommend using Facebook groups to build authentic relationships, rather than being “spammy”. So position yourself as an expert and offer your product or service as a solution only AFTER your ideal client has expressed interest!

And there you have it: 3 steps to finding and engaging with your ideal client on Facebook.
